Dive into “Musicalism” by DeLaurentis in the latest installment of “Creating with L-ISA,” where DeLaurentis and Radio France’s Audio Innovation Project Manager, Herve Dejardin explore how L-Acoustics’ L-ISA technology helped paint a living spatial audio canvas. Inspired by 1930s synesthetic painters, each track of Musicalism showcases sound in vibrant color and motion.
In this episode of Artists of Sound, Cécile opens up about her unique experience with synesthesia, explaining how sound translates into vibrant colors, shapes, and patterns, which deeply influences both her music and visual art. Through a behind-the-scenes look at her studio and performances of her upcoming album Musicalism, Cécile shares how AI tools and technology have shaped her creative process, blending the tactile with the abstract in her art and storytelling.
Sony CSL – Paris and electronic artist DeLaurentis have collaborated to explore AI’s role in music and live performance. Over the past year, they have developed innovative tools, including AI-assisted composition & real-time interactive visuals called ‘Sinvocea’. Researcher Alain Riou contributed with PESTO, an AI-driven pitch estimation tool shaping live vocal interactions, while Alexis André designed generative visuals reacting to DeLaurentis’s voice. Sinvocea is a tailor-made project designed as a fleeting research experiment, unfolding over a series of live performances and culminating in this final music video with Sony Music France, for one last dialogue between human and machine. Sony CSL – Paris continues its mission of bridging AI research and real-world artistic applications.
